Israel ousts 5 Palestinian families from Jordan Valley

Israeli occupation forces today expelled five Palestinian families, including 19 children, from the Hamsa Al-Fawqa area in the northern Jordan Valley, southeast of Tubas, on the pretext that they will be holding military exercises in the area.

Human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh warned of the danger of the forced displacement policy pursued by the occupation authorities in the Jordan Valley.

In an interview with Voice of Palestine radio, Daraghmeh said that the Israeli authorities are seeking to expel the families from the area. He added that occupation forces leave behind remnants of their military exercises which could be leave local residents at risk.
