280,000 Palestinians pray at Al-Aqsa on last Friday of Ramadan

Some 280,000 Palestinians performed prayers at Al-Aqsa yesterday in what is expected to be the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

For the fourth week in a row, Israeli occupation forces prevented Palestinian males under the age of 40 from entering Jerusalem from the occupied West Bank.

No Palestinians from he besieged Gaza Strip were allowed to travel to Al-Aqsa either.

Occupation forces deployed reinforcements across Jerusalem, especially around the vicinity of the Old City yesterday.

Jerusalem has been the source of increased protests following the US’ decision to declare it the undivided capital of Israel and move its embassy to the occupied city.
