The Trump administration has supported Israel’s decision to build 400 new settlement units in the illegal Geva Binyamin settlement, also known as Adam, in the occupied West Bank, Anadolu reported on Friday.

An Israeli official was quoted by Maariv as saying that Washington had been informed of the decision to build the new settlement units and has “welcomed” the step. The announcement to build the new units was made by Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

“The best answer to terrorism,” wrote the far-right extremist, “is the expansion of settlements.” The Moldova-born former night club bouncer was referring to the incident on Thursday when a Palestinian teenager is alleged to have stabbed three illegal Jewish settlers in Geva Binyamin.
