Bahrain to hold municipal, parliamentary elections in November

Bahrain yesterday announced that municipal elections will be held in parallel with parliamentary elections on 24 November, the Bahraini News Agency reported.

According to the news agency, Prime Minister Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa issued a decree in which he announced that the country’s municipal and parliamentary elections will take place simultaneously and called on voters to participate in the polls.

According to the decree, if a second round of voting is required, it will take place in early December.

Candidates who wish to run in the municipal council elections can register for a period of five days from 17 October.
