A Palestinian court in Nablus yesterday sentences two Palestinians after finding them guilty of selling land to settler, Al-Wattan Voice reported.
One of the defendants was handed a nine-year jail term while the second was given six years of hard labour.
Palestinian Authority land laws prohibit Palestinians from selling lands to “any person or judicial body corporation of Israeli citizenship”.
Last month, the National Popular Council of Al-Quds condemned the sale of residential buildings in the Old City of Jerusalem to “Jewish settlers and their settlement associations”.
It described the sale as “a despicable crime against Jerusalem, Palestine and the homeland”.
