Ethiopia resumes flights to Somalia after 41 years

Ethiopian Airlines resumed on Friday its flights to the Somali capital Mogadishu after a 41-year suspension.

The CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Tewolde Gebremariam, said in a press conference that the resumption of flights between the two countries would play an important role reinforcing economic cooperation.

He added that this would help Somali expatriates to return to their homeland from all over the world.

Last month, Ethiopian Airlines resumed direct flights to Eritrea after a 20-year suspension.
