Senior leader of Sudan’s ruling National Congress Party Abdel Sakhi Abbas yesterday denied claims that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is due to visit Khartoum, Shehab News Agency reported.
“It is impossible that Netanyahu visits Sudan,” Abbas said. “There are no protocols for such an official visit,” he added, stressing that the news reported by the Israeli broadcast corporation KAN “is completely false”.

He stressed that his country’s position on the matter “is clear”, adding “that there are no relations or ties with Israel.”
Abbas stressed this is mainly related to the Palestinian cause. “Israel occupies an Arab and Muslim state, desecrates the religious sites and prevents the performance of religious rites,” he said.
The senior Sudanese leader added: “When Israel stops its aggressive policy towards the Palestinians, then there will be relations with it.”
