The United Nations special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths arrived in the Houthi-held capital of Sanaa on Monday to accompany the Houthis delegation to Sweden to participate in the UN-sponsored peace talks, Reuters reported.
Meanwhile, a United Nations aircraft arrived in Sanaa to evacuate 50 wounded Houthi militants to the Omani capital, Muscat to receive treatment “as part of confidence-building measures in preparation for peace negotiations”.

Earlier, the Saudi-led coalition said: “a United Nations-chartered aeroplane will arrive on Monday to Sanaa airport to evacuate the 50 wounded militant to the Omani capital, accompanied by three Yemeni doctors and a UN doctor”.
A UN source told Agence France-Presse that the United Nations “will work towards an agreement to reopen Sanaa airport as part of a package of confidence-building measures between the two sides”.
Houthis, who control the airport, confirmed on Saturday that the Sanaa International Airport is operationally ready to receive civil flights.
