The Directorate of Education in the Syrian town of Jarabulus suspended schools yesterday to protect students from suspected car bombs.
Spokesman Rami Mustafa told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that schools were suspended for one day as part of an ongoing search for car bombs, especially after a series of car bombings struck in the opposition-held countryside of Aleppo.
The recent bombings in the cities of Al-Bab and Azaz and suspicion that car bombs were also planted in the town of Jarabulus have caused panic among residents.

“Sending children to school is a big problem now, and we are worried,” Mutaz Ibrahim told the news site.
“The bombings occur in overcrowded places, and children, especially students, are at great risk,” said Arwa Abu Al-Nur, a refugee from southern Damascus in the city of Al-Bab, said.
The local residents believe the bombs were planted by Daesh militants as well as Kurdish forces.
