Housing ministry hands 124 new apartments to Gaza families

The Palestinian Housing and Works Ministry handed over 124 new apartments to Palestinians who lost their homes during Israel’s 2014 offensive on the Gaza Strip, Felesteen.ps reported yesterday.

Housing and Works Minister Mofeed Al-Hasayneh said that this project is part of a programme aimed to develop the Gaza Valley village which is funded by Kuwait.

The official thanked Kuwait, its people and its government for their “continuous support” for the Palestinian people.

The minister noted that Gaza Valley has become a residential neighbourhood that includes 400 housing units with full services and infrastructure thanks to donations from Kuwait, Qatar and Turkey.

He called for all the donor countries to continue their support for Gaza residents in order to afford housing for all the families who are still homeless due to the Israeli offensives and siege imposed on the Strip.
