Hamas calls on Palestinians to confront Abbas dictatorship

Hamas called on the Palestinian national and Islamic factions to work together to confront what the movement called “the dictatorship of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and his oppressive totalitarian regime”.

In a statement posted on its website on Tuesday, the movement deplored “the Palestinian Authority president’s speech on Fatah’s anniversary, in which he attacked Gaza and Hamas”.

The movement described Abbas’ statements as “reflecting his defeated personality, which is not worthy of a president or the brave Palestinian people,” adding that “they also reflected the magnitude of misery and despair he suffered because of his failed policies and destructive positions throughout his rule.”
