Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf Bin Alawi said yesterday there is no normalisation with Israel, explaining that what is happening is “a peaceful process to find a settlement for the Palestinian cause that guarantees their rights and the interests of all”.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow, Alawi said that Muscat supports the two-state solution and denied that his country is negotiating with Israel on behalf of any party, Russia Today news agency reported.

The minister added that his country is ready to help everyone who works towards this end.
Alawi and Lavrov reviewed the results of two visits by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to Oman.
Earlier this week, Alawi said that his country has long considered Israel a Middle Eastern country that cannot be ignored.
