UK concerned by eviction of Palestinian family in Jerusalem

The British Consulate-General in Jerusalem today condemned the eviction of a Palestinian family from their home in the Old City by Israeli occupation forces.

Deputy Consul General and Chargée d’Affaires, Allison Hall, said in a statement that the UK is “deeply concerned by the eviction of the Abu Asab family from the property they had lived in for decades in the Old City.”

“The UK condemns such evictions which we consider contrary to international law. As well as causing unnecessary suffering, they undermine the prospects for peace.”

The Abu Asab family were forced out of their home on Sunday before Israeli settlers moved in.
