Fatah Youth banned the activities of the Islamic Bloc, Hamas’ student arm, in Al-Najah University in the occupied West Bank, leading the university’s administration to ban both groups, Safa reported yesterday.

The Deputy Head of the University Maher Al-Al-Najah told the media that he had decided to freeze the activities of both blocs, fearing the ongoing developments in Gaza would cause a rift between students.

In response, the Islamic Bloc said the move deprives students from practicing their rights, adding that the ban was “arrogance” and “lacks the basics of well-known moral and constitutional criteria.”
