Hamas yesterday denied reports that meetings were held with Israeli leaders, a statement said.
“Hamas views Israel as an illegal and occupying entity,” the statement, a copy of which was sent to MEMO, said.
Hamas condemned the reports about the claimed meetings with the “Israeli enemy” and stressed that all of these reports “are completely false and baseless”.
The resistance group said that these reports intended to “demonise Hamas and distort its image, its stances and its leaders.”
Hamas called on the media to be cautious in order not to “fall into traps set by the Zionist media and some of its arms.”
