A powerful explosion struck a sensitive missile factory during a test in Ramle city, central Israel, yesterday, no casualties were reported, Haaretz said.

Locals said they heard an explosion and saw a cloud of smoke coming from the Tomer factory for advanced weapons, which develops rocket engines and houses various types of missiles for the Israeli army.

Tomer said, “this was a controlled test with no exceptional circumstances.”

An investigation into the incident is now underway.
