The Egyptian parliament announced that the government decided to withdraw draft laws, including the new education bill, amendments to the Traffic Law and others.
The House of Representatives announced that Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that the government had withdrawn eight draft laws, including a proposed amendment to some provisions of the Education Law promulgated by Law No. 139 of 1981, and a draft law amending some provisions of Law No. 155 of 2002 regarding export development, and a draft law to issue a bill regulating the system of natural reserves.
It also withdrew a draft law amending some provisions of public hygiene, a draft law for the development of the car manufacturing sector and automotive feeding industries, and a draft law amending some provisions of the Presidential decree No. 77 of 1968 regarding broadcasting and wireless device fees; in addition to withdrawing three other draft laws amending some articles of the Traffic Law promulgated by Law No. 66 of 1973, a bill amending the law regulating the fishing and fish farms sectors, and the Law on Private State Property.
This came as altercations were witnessed during plenary sessions to discuss the amendments of the bills, local media reported.
