The authorities in Morocco are suing over allegations that it has used the notorious Israeli Pegasus spyware, AFP has reported.

The government in Rabat has filed a lawsuit in the Paris criminal court against Forbidden Stories and Amnesty International claiming that the allegations are defamatory, the lawyer leading the case said yesterday.

Lawyer Olivier Baratelli has been engaged by the Kingdom and its Ambassador to France, Chakib Benmoussa, to file the complaints against the two organisations.
