Bomb attack targets power line in Iraq’s Nineveh province

A bomb attack targeted a power transmission tower in Iraq’s northern Nineveh province on Sunday, according to the country’s electricity ministry, Anadolu Agency reports.

A ministry statement said that the attack had disrupted electricity supply in the province.

According to the ministry, 16 power lines came under attacks in the provinces of Nineveh, Kirkuk and Salahuddin in recent weeks.

Iraqi authorities blame the attacks on the Daesh terrorist group.
