Turkey rescues 10 irregular migrants pushed back by Greece

Turkish coast guard units have rescued ten irregular migrants who had been forced by the Greek coast guard to return to Turkish territorial waters in the Aegean Sea, Anadolu reported.

The Turkish Coast Guard Command said in a statement that its crews had received a notification of the presence of a boat carrying irregular migrants off the coast of Aydin state, west of the country, adding that upon arriving at the place, the Turkish crews found ten irregular migrants who were forced by the Greek authorities to return to Turkish waters.

Anadolu said the migrants were taken to the Immigration Department for the necessary legal procedures.
