Unvaccinated people will not be allowed entry into Egypt’s educational instructions, the country’s Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, revealed yesterday.
Zayed said that as the Delta variant of coronavirus is spreading fast, the country’s political leadership has instructed that a ban be put in place stopping those who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 from entering universities and schools.
The minister explained that there are plans to vaccinate workers in the education and higher education institutions or about 5.5 million people, ahead of the start of the new school year.
According to government statements, only six million people have been vaccinated so far, while the government estimates that 40 million people will be inoculated by the end of the year.
