Israel citizen fatally stabbed in Morocco

An Israeli citizen has been stabbed to death in Tangier, Morocco, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, Anadolu Agency reports.

The Moroccan police are investigating the circumstances of the incident in the coastal city, while the Israeli Foreign Ministry is following up developments with Moroccan authorities, the state broadcaster reported late Thursday.

It quoted Moroccan media as saying that the suspected killer is 36 years old and “has a criminal record, and suffers from a mental disorder.”

Israeli authorities have yet to comment on the incident.
