Tunisia receives aircraft loaded with medical supplies from Algeria

An Algerian plane loaded with medical supplies and oxygen yesterday landed at Tunis-Carthage International Airport, the Tunisian presidency said in a statement.

The aircraft was carrying 200,000 doses of coronavirus vaccines, oxygen and other health supplies.

“Tunisia extends its sincere thanks and great appreciation to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria for continuing the noble solidarity tide, which reflects the strength of the historical brotherly relations between the two countries and further consolidates the values of synergy and altruism existing between the two brotherly peoples,” the Tunisian presidency said in the statement.

Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Jerandi, and Algeria’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Azzouz Baalal, were in attendance when the plane landed in Tunis.
