Acting Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, Dr Ibrahim Muneer, has officially suspended six senior leaders of the group and referred them for questioning, Arabi21 reported yesterday.

The officials, the London-based news website said, are suspected of not committing to the group’s internal code.

According to sources who spoke on condition of anonymity, Muneer stated that the suspended leaders violated article 2, 4, 5 and 17 of the group’s code.

The senior leaders who were suspended, are among the members of the group who rejected the results of the internal elections of the Muslim Brotherhood.
