Join us for a live conversation with Dr Mohammed Allehbi as we discuss the formation and development of Islamic criminal justice during the Abbasid Dynasty; from the eighth through the twelfth centuries in the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
Dr Allehbi received his PhD in History, specialising in mediaeval Islamic social-legal and political history. His dissertation was titled ‘Sovereignty and Law: Criminal Justice in Premodern Islam’.
Born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Allehbi moved to the US at a young age, growing up in Boston, Massachusetts.
