At least 12 Palestinians were killed and scores were injured in an Israeli attack targeting the central Gaza Strip.

A medical source from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah said that five fatalities, including a woman and her child, arrived at the hospital following the latest air strikes that targeted two homes in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

While Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip said it had received the bodies of at least seven Palestinians who were killed in an Israeli attack on two houses in the camp. The hospital added that ten more Palestinians were injured in the Israeli attack.

Israel has killed more than 38,800since October last year, mostly women and children, and injured over 89,400, according to local health authorities.

Over nine months into the Israeli onslaught, vast tracts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.

Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
