Five Palestinians were killed and several others were wounded in an Israeli drone attack that targeted the group of people near Al-Tawhid Mosque in Tubas at dawn on Wednesday, the Palestinian Information Centre has reported.

Those killed were identified as Muhammad Saeed Hussein Sawafta, 19; Majd Burhan Jamil Sawafta, 23; Qais Saeb Rateb Sawafta, 24; Yassin Ahmed Ali Sawafta, 22; and Talaba Mahmoud Jamil Basharat, 18. The Palestine Red Crescent Society confirmed that its crews were able to retrieve the bodies of the five martyrs from the bombsite and transfer them to the local Turkish Governmental Hospital in the occupied West Bank city.

Following the attack, which was part of a large-scale military operation in the city and curfew, the Israeli occupation forces imposed a tight siege on the hospital. Israeli reconnaissance aircraft and military helicopters have been flying in great numbers at low altitudes over the governorate.
