Two female students were killed and seven others were wounded yesterday in a US-UK air strike at the Aisha School in the Al-Jund area in Taiz Governorate, southwest of Yemen, Houthi-owned media outlets reported.
The group’s Saba news agency quoted a local source as saying that Hamas Abdullah Abdul Salam in the seventh grade, and Shaja Ahmed Dahan in the fifth grade were killed, adding that in addition to the seven students who were injured, 13 students had fainted as a result of the stampede caused by the strike.
On Monday, US and British warplanes targeted the Al-Jabana area, west of the city of Hudaydah.
On Sunday, the American and British warplanes also launched three raids on the Maytam area, east of the city of Ibb.
Since 12 January, American and British forces have been launching missile strikes and air strikes on Yemen, claiming they are Houthi targets. These come in response to the Houthis closing off the vital waterway leading to the Suez Canal to all Israel linked shipped in support of Palestinians suffering under Tel Aviv’s genocidal bombing campaign in Gaza.
