Iran successfully launched the Chamran-1 research satellite into a 550-kilometre orbit on Saturday.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, described the success of the project and its safe arrival into orbit as a direct response to those who imposed sanctions on Iran.

In a post on X, Kanaani congratulated all the Iranians, scientists and researchers who contributed to the launch of the research satellite Chamran-1 by the domestically developed satellite carrier Qaem-100, and its successful placement in Earth’s orbit at a distance of 550 kilometres.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson stressed that Iran, as a strong, strategic and rational player on the global stage, is prepared for constructive engagement, adding that all involved parties should ensure that their behaviour and words are guided by reason.
