The National Gathering of Palestinian Tribes, Clans, and Families in Gaza have condemned the roadblocks, robberies and thefts which have recently increased, considering those who commit such acts as “a rogue group” deviant from national ranks and who must be held accountable.
In a press conference at the Nasser Hospital, the group called for action to stop operations that violate laws and customs, and to lift family cover from the perpetrators and to hold them accountable.
Mukhtar Hussein Abu Ayyadah said the stand came at a time when the people of Gaza have been suffering from the scourge of the unjust Israeli aggression over the past year, and whose suffering has been exacerbated by the actions of some clan members that “contradict the authenticity and history of our families in Gaza”.
Abu Ayyadah called on the ancient Palestinian clans and families in Gaza to “express their rejection of these actions that contradict the authenticity of our families.”
He added that “a number of dignitaries and family leaders have responded to the gathering’s call and issued statements of denunciation, rejection and condemnation of the suspicious actions of some of their family members.”
