Palestine Action activists target UK factory that produces F-35 components

Palestine Action activists have, once again, targeted a factory in the UK involved in the production of crucial military components, which the group said are used by Israel in its ongoing bombardment of Gaza, Anadolu Agency reports.

Activists scaled the roof of Teledyne CML Composites in Bromborough, Wirral, cutting holes into the building and spraying the exterior with blood-red paint to symbolise the loss of lives in Gaza.

Teledyne CML Composites, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies, manufactures parts for the F-35 fighter jets, which Israel has used extensively to drop 2,000-pound (907-kilogram) bombs in Gaza.

According to Palestine Action, Teledyne Technologies is the largest exporter of weaponry from the UK to Israel.

This is not the first time Palestine Action has taken direct action against Teledyne facilities.

In July, activists drove a van through the gates of the Bromborough site, covering the building in red paint, a symbolic act to highlight the deadly consequences of the company’s military exports.

Earlier in April, activists occupied Teledyne Defence and Space in Shipley, West Yorkshire, halting the production of military electronics destined for Israel.

The activists’ direct actions came amid growing public outcry over the Israeli military’s operations in Gaza, which critics have described as genocidal.

The F-35 jets produced by Teledyne’s components have been a key tool in Israel’s military campaign, leading activists to target the company as a significant player in the conflict.

In a related case, a jury at Bradford Crown Court last month acquitted Palestine Action activists of causing criminal damage for their occupation of the Shipley site.

Palestine Action has made it clear that they will continue their campaign until companies like Teledyne cease supplying military equipment to Israel.
