The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that over 300 healthcare workers have been detained in Israeli prisons since the start of the ongoing aggression on the Strip, Quds Press reported citing a statement issued by the ministry.

“With the passing of one year since the genocide in the Gaza Strip, more than 300 healthcare workers have been imprisoned in Israeli jails,” the ministry said in its statement.

For the past year, Israeli occupation forces, backed by the United States and Europe, have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip. Israeli warplanes have targeted hospitals, buildings, residential towers and homes, destroying them over the heads of their inhabitants while blocking access to water, food, medicine and fuel.

According to United Nations data, the ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza has resulted in the deaths of over 41,900 Palestinians, with more than 97,300 others wounded. Some 90 per cent of the population has been displaced, many up to ten times.
