Hamas has criticised “Arab silence and international inaction” saying they have encouraged Israel to commit more crimes and massacres against Palestinians in Gaza and to empty the northern Gaza Strip of its residents.

In a statement issued yesterday, Hamas said the Zionist enemy is racing against time, committing more massacres and atrocities around the clock against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which targeted a residential area housing displaced persons in the Beit Lahia Project area, north of the Gaza Strip, killing dozens and wounding many more.

The movement called on the Arab and Islamic countries, the United Nations, and all concerned international parties to take effective action to stop the Israeli massacres, warning that they will have major repercussions on regional security and peace.

It also called on the Arab and Islamic countries and the free people of the world to exert more pressure on international organisations to shoulder their responsibility in stopping the Israeli crimes.

Some 87 people were killed and 40 others injured in an Israeli air strike that destroyed an entire residential block in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.
