In a shocking development overnight, 10 Israeli soldiers were killed in southern Lebanon amid heightened tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.

The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed the casualties, stating that the soldiers were patrolling near the border when an unidentified armed group launched an attack.

The IDF is conducting an investigation into the incident.

Hezbollah has yet to issue an official statement, but tensions in the region have escalated in recent weeks, with both sides exchanging artillery fire. Lebanese authorities are urging restraint to prevent further violence.
