3-year-old Omar Abu Zaid was mauled and bitten by an Israeli army dog after occupation forces stormed his family's home in Qabatia, south of the occupied West Bank town of Jenin, on 5 November 2024.

A 3-year-old Palestinian child was injured yesterday evening after being attacked by an Israeli army dog in the town of Qabatiya, south of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

According to the Palestine Red Crescent Society, a medical team took the child to Jenin Hospital for medical attention after he was bitten by a combat dog deployed by Israeli forces in the area. The attack happened as Israeli forces intensified military action across several cities in the occupied West Bank yesterday, leading to four Palestinians being killed.

In one of these operations, an Israeli drone targeted and killed two Palestinian men near the Martyrs’ Triangle in Qabatiya. The victims were identified as Muhammad and Shawqi Asasousi. Moreover, the Israeli forces sent reinforcements to the town’s entrances as part of the ongoing military operation there, reported Wafa news agency.

Since the escalation of Israel’s ongoing military onslaught in Gaza last year, the Israeli offensive has killed at least 760 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank alone, including 18 women and 166 children. Furthermore, 6,500 people have been wounded, according to figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
