A Jewish settler mob abducted and assaulted a Palestinian in the occupied West Bank last night, the Palestinian Information Centre has reported. The victim of the attack was named as Ziyad Halayka, who was returning from work to his home in Ash-Shuyukh town, north of Hebron, when the extremist settlers struck.
The settlers reportedly took Halayka to the nearby illegal settlement of Asfar where they beat him savagely, before dumping him, unconscious, in Wadi Sa’ir area.
Halayka’s wife said that she was only able to reach her husband about two hours after he was abducted, adding that he was rushed to the Princess Alia Governmental Hospital. His body is covered in bruises and wounds, she pointed out.
