Thousands of people from Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip have taken part in the funeral of a senior official in the military wing of Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades. The death of Ghazi Abu Tama’a was announced formally a few days ago.

The spokesman for Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, confirmed that their commander-in-chief, Mohammad Al-Deif, had been killed along with other senior officials, including Abu Tama’a.

Ghazi Abu Tama’a, known as “Abu Musa”, was the Weapons and Combat Services Section’s Commander until his death, and a member of the Brigades’ military council. The occupation army announced his assassination alongside Marwan Issa in March last year in the central Gaza Strip.
