Gaza’s Fatah members meet Dahlan in Egypt

A group of Fatah leaders travelled to Egypt on Saturday to take part in a meeting with dismissed leader Mohamed Dahlan, informed sources told Quds Press.

The sources said that the group left the Gaza Strip under the name of Fatah Youth Delegation and included 110 memebr, including two former members of the Fatah Revolutionary Council Abdul-Hamid Al-Masri and Usama Al-Farrah.

A number of Fatah members from the occupied West bank also attended the meeting with Dahlan, Quds Press added.

Sources said the meeting discussed Fatah’s activities in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank and how they would improve them.

Talks also circulated around forming a new political party for Dahlan and his supporters in light of the failure of efforts to achieve reconciliation between Dahlan and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas.

Yet, the sources said that Dahlan has been unable to obtain permission from the Egyptian authorities to organise a conference for his potential party in Cairo.
