Aro said that his ministry had already approved a strategic plan to construct four new slaughterhouses in order to export meat to international markets after US sanctions are lifted next month.

The minister went on to defend the government’s decision to export female camels following a vote held in parliament on Monday. Legislation to export the animals was passed by a margin of one vote after 94 votes came in in favour of the decision while 93 were against.
