Deputy Head of Fatah, Mahmoud Al-Aloul, said yesterday that the movement’s Central Committee has rejected the resignation of Nasser Al-Qudwa, cousin of Fatah founder Yasser Arafat, the Safa news agency reported.
Al-Aloul said that the Central Committee is to discuss the issue and the reasons mentioned in the resignation letter during its upcoming meeting.
Sources have reported that Al-Qudwa filed his resignation as a result of differences in opinion during the 23rd meeting of the Palestinian National Council which was held at the start of the month.
