A Kuala Lumpur-bound Saudia flight made an emergency return to Jeddah airport after a woman realised that she had left her baby at the terminal.

A video of the pilot requesting permission to return to King Abdulaziz airport went viral on social media, after the woman realised she had left her baby behind.

“This flight is requesting to come back,” the pilot tells air traffic control. “A passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area.”

“May God be with us. Can we come back?” he continues to ask.

“I told you, a passenger has left her baby in the terminal and she is refusing to continue the flight.”

The air traffic controller handler can be heard replying: “That’s a new one.”
