Young Saudi man goes missing at Istanbul airport

Social media reported on Sunday that the young Saudi man, Salem Nafie Al-Harbi, 28, went missing in mysterious circumstances from Istanbul Airport six days ago. He was on his way back to Jeddah with his mother.

Saudi newspaper Sabq quoted Ahmed Nafie Al-Harbi, the brother of the missing man as saying that Salem was in Istanbul on a family trip but insisted on returning to Saudi Arabia shortly after arriving in Turkey as he has some psychological disorders.

Young Saudi man Salem Nafie Al-Harbi has gone missing from Istanbul Airport in mysterious circumstances. His mother accompanied him to the airport. Official Turkish authorities and the Saudi embassy have been informed about the matter, and the search for him is still going on.

Al-Harbi explained that the family decided that Salem return home with his mother because there were no more than two seats available in the plane that was supposed to take them back. Shortly after arriving at the airport, Salem’s mother started the travel procedures and was later surprised by the disappearance of her son.

The family of the missing young man informed the Turkish police about their son’s disappearance and requested access to the airport cameras’ records.
