The owner of a grocery store in Egypt is reported to have stabbed and strangled a six-year-old girl after trying but failing to rape her.
The 30-year-old man killed the young girl when she started screaming, fearing he would be discovered, reports Gulf News.
The body of the girl was found by her sister in a sack in front of their house the day after they reported her missing.
According to a friend of the victim, the owner of the grocers asked her to find a sack for him in exchange for two Egyptian pounds ($0.13).

When police confronted him, he confessed, according to Gulf News.
Last month, a two-year-old was killed by her eight and 11-year-old cousins, after they allegedly attempted but failing to rape her. They then threw her into a canal.
Earlier this year hundreds of people attended the funeral of eight-year-old Rimas Mohamed Galal Abdel Razek who was murdered following an attempted rape, according to the Egypt Independent.
In 2018 four-year-old Rodaina Abdou was murdered in Menoufia Goverorate in a case that ignited outrage. A 16-year-old local resident admitted to attempting to rape her and then killing her so he would not get caught, by hitting her across the head with a stone.
