Palestinian Authority security agencies kidnapped a wounded Palestinian from a hospital in Nablus yesterday, Al-Resalah has reported. Baraa Musa Ezhiman, 28, was wounded a week ago during an Israeli occupation raid in the city. Local sources said that the PA security officials moved him to Al-Junaid Prison.
Ezhiman has been chased by the Israeli occupation authorities. He was released from an Israeli prison in 2018 after spending 10 months under administrative detention with neither charge nor trial. In October last year, he was detained by the Israelis and spent another five months under administrative detention. He has been also detained by the PA on several occasions, the last of which was in August this year.
The PA currently holds eight political prisoners who are on an open-ended hunger strike. Most are banned from meeting their lawyers. Human rights activists insist that the PA should put an end to what they describe as politically-motivated detention. Prisoners and their families have complained about the very bad conditions in PA prisons.
