Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that there are no red lines for his country when it comes to defending its people and interests, following Israel’s recent threat to strike the Islamic Republic.
During his visit to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, yesterday, Araghchi wrote on X: “While we have made tremendous efforts in recent days to contain an all-out war in our region, I say it clearly that we have no red lines in defending our people and interests.”
The US has been delivering record amount of arms to Israel. It is now also putting lives of its troops at risk by deploying them to operate US missile systems in Israel.

Earlier in October, Iran launched approximately 200 missiles at Israel in response to the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, and an Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander in southern Beirut.
Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant vowed that Israel’s retaliation would be “lethal, precise, and surprising,” while Tehran declared it was “ready” for it.
In a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, Araghchi said: “We are fully prepared for a state of war. We do not fear war, but we do not seek it. We want peace, and we will work towards achieving a just peace in Gaza and Lebanon.”
Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein reaffirmed Baghdad’s rejection of any escalation of war extending towards Iran and any use of Iraqi airspace as a corridor.
Araghchi left Iraq and headed to Oman today where he met and held talks with Yemen’s Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam as well as Omani officials.
