Gaza joins teqball, pickleball revolution, have you heard of them?

The besieged Gaza Strip has launched its first Teqball and Pickleball Academy, combining football with table tennis and tennis

The games are now part of the Friends Club’s offering, which the group’s Director Mustafa Al-Ghalayini hopes is another means for Palestinians to play sports and hopefully, a step towards them competing in international championships one day.

Teqball is a ball sport that is played on a curved table, combining elements of football and table tennis. Pickleball is a mix of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, and is played on a court which is much smaller than a tennis court.

Both sports allow up to four players to compete in teams of two.
