The Israeli occupation authorities have summoned a senior Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, for investigation in Al-Maskubiya Interrogation Centre in the city after storming into his house this morning, the Palestinian Information Centre has reported.
Sheikh Sabri’s legal office reported that Israeli intelligence agents raided his house and summoned him for investigation in Section 4, which is allocated for investigating Jerusalemites in the interrogation centre.
The Israeli occupation police issued a banning order against the veteran Imam on 8 August, preventing him from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque for six months. The decision was made after Sheikh Sabri was arrested on 2 August and released hours later.
