The US and Russia are to begin joint action to fight terrorists in Aleppo, Syria, Moscow’s Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu announced yesterday.
Russia Today quoted Shoigu saying that Russia has started a very active negotiations phase with the US in Geneva and Oman; adding that Russia is in regular contact with Washington.
“We are moving step by step closer to a plan – and I’m only talking about Aleppo here – that would really allow us to start fighting together to bring peace so that people can return to their homes in this troubled land,” Shoigu added.
