Source: Gulen did not apply for political asylum in Egypt

Fethullah Gulen has not applied for political asylum in Egypt after Turkey asked the US to extradite him, the editor-in-chief of Turkey’s Hira magazine said.

In a statement, Nevzat Savas said: “It is not true, as long as Gulen did not issue a written and direct statement.”

Savas said appreciation should be shown to the Egyptian politicians who have requested the government consider granting Gulen political asylum should he request it.
