Saudi coalition destroys weapons shipment to Houthis in Yemen

The Saudi-led coalition destroyed a shipment of weapons to the Houthis near the Hudaydah port, reported Youm.

Houthi weapons were being smuggled via fishing boats that were operating in the Red Sea, which was intercepted and destroyed by a Saudi-led coalition raid.

Regular ballistic missiles have been fired inside Saudi Arabia by the Houthi group, including regular incursions destroying army barracks stationed in the southern Saudi Arabian border.

The Saudi-led coalition entered the Yemen civil war in March 2015 to reinstate President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and to prevent Houthi military advancements towards the south of the country.
